As seen on Keeping Up With the Kardashians or one of the three spin-offs, (Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami, Kourtney and Kim Take New York, Khloe and Lamar) Kris Jenner is not your typical mother. Not only does Jenner serve as executive producer and one of the creative brains behind E!’s most lucrative television series, but she also manages her children’s careers as their “momager.” “I set up goals and aspirations for a lifetime,” says Jenner in my exclusive withjosh.com interview. She’s built a brand that brilliantly brought in nearly $65 million dollars last year alone through endorsements, paid appearances, fragrances, and more.
But behind the television shows, the Hollywood gossip magazines, and her multi-million dollar enterprise, Kris Jenner is a mom who strives to do her best in every circumstance. “Whether it’s horrible adversity or great success, there’s a reason for it. I’ve been through both,” remarks Jenner casually.
In my intimate interview with Kris Jenner, we go in-depth and behind the stories you’ve heard that helped shape the woman she’s become today. We first discuss the obvious fan questions about being the matriarch of the Kardashian clan and her self proclaimed title as a “momager.” We then explore her religious and spiritual side, which she credits to Robert Kardashian for introducing her to Christianity. “Even a family as crazy as ours can have a great relationship with God.” Jenner states that her belief in God is what has kept her grounded and given her strength during the difficult times. One of the most heart-wrenching moments for Jenner was when she lost her father and ex-husband Robert Kardashian within 8 weeks of each other. Jenner and I spend a significant amount of time on Kardashian’s passing and how it changed the lives of her children: Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and Rob. In a touching and thought-provoking moment, Jenner admits, “God got us through (Robert Kardashian’s death), it was in God’s plan, we didn’t like the plan at the moment, but there was a bigger picture out there somewhere. We had to have faith in that and it’s so hard to do when you’re crying.”
We next discuss living through O.J. Simpson’s murder trial. In a very uncomfortable moment, I asked her if she thought O.J. Simpson was guilty for the crime of murdering one of her best friends: Nicole Brown Simpson. Jenner admits that this was one of the most challenging times in her life but she had to be strong for her kids. “The biggest job I had that year was being a mom and being there for my family.”
The conclusion of our interview includes Jenner describing each of her family members and stars of Keeping Up With the Kardashians and the strength they give her.
Kris Jenner is a remarkable woman and although her story may be different from yours, it’s my hope that many of you will be encouraged by her strength and the grace she displays. “I’m living proof that you can get through anything if you’re strong, set your mind to it, and pray about it.” Well said, Kris!
The new season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians starts on June 12 on E!.

How are you representing Christ in your lifestyle? The Bible says be in the world but not have it. It also talks about fornication…how does your Christian life work? Do you obey the Bible or sort of figure it out as you go along? Just asking…

Hi, Josh:
Thanx for this interview; I was waiting for it,Yeah!
The interview was interesting moments; it`s more than the lights and flashes of the Kardashians World. I love it; yeah!
Kris Jenner seems one Strong woman; she lived many difficult situations and she made of this pain one experience of life to herself. She was the support for her family, and it is so difficult to one woman who`s in one difficult moment.
Jenner was so mature to understand the disadvantages of the life and turns it a good experience to enrich to herself and to her family. It was a great example to me, cause sometimes person are frustrated for the difficult things in our life and we dont valorate the good things:the family, the friends, peoples around. She shows this possibility, and it`s great.
Respect the comment of Lola. All peoples can to have faith; and all can understand it in the the best way to everyone. If you say:” How Kardashians life is one example of Christian life?”you re turn you like one judge to say what`s the correct and what isnt the good christian life. I see in her one example to Crhistian Life, cause she made all for her family; and it`s the important; you can seem one Wonderful, secure or different woman, and the peoples could be thinking you`re crazy, but if you`re so emotional, you´ve into you one sensible person; so what, Kris Jenner is in this way for me.
Great interview!! it`s my favourite, Josh!

I think she is a great homemaker and promotes family in a positive way, but i cringe when she talks about God and and being so christian etc. Fornication, promoting sexy nude pics, doing everything for money (greed) , materialistic, are all hardly anything the Bible (God’s Word) promotes.

Respect María´s post: And many of us (us how “normal” and “common” are) are not a sample of the words of God.and believe we can display an image but this in other people the stick with your first impression or search the depths of the person.
Comment by Tin@ — June 9, 2011 @ 8:55 AM
Ha!,tina is saying many:”Christ”!,hey, it`snt about God; it`s about one woman who makes her life, who has one faith like all peoples. You can to have faith in God, in the saints, in one poeple, in your friends, in one idea; you can to choice in wich believe; it`s yourown desition, nothing more.
She`s 1 showgirl, and it`s great!

You cringe over Kris Jenner talking about God? Why does it matter? You’re watching a reality show called Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
Comment by Sam — June 13, 2011 @ 11:41 AM
I think Kris’ relationship with God is authentic and real. Shame on you people to judge her beliefs and her experience. At least she’s brave enough to share her faith and reveal who she turns to. God bless!

Josh! Kudos again!
I think it’s amazing how much she is in the spotlight, yet, after all the cameras are turned off, she is still human. A human who loves Jesus, has faith and doesn’t judge others as others judge her so easily. It was nice to be able to see this side of her.
THank you for sharing!

Kris J. is one example to one people who made the correst for her family, for who she loves; she gaves all, she fought against herown fears and it`s the most important.

Josh, you’ve done it again — A superb interview with a matchless individual! I’m a huge fan.

Really interesting interview Josh! I don’t follow the Kardashian family on any of their shows or interviews, except for what I see plastered on magazine covers. It was cool to see the human element to the family that Kris shared.

If Kris Jenner were a follower of Christ, how does her televised lifestyle reflect that? I am as imperfect as the next person, and not judging. Just curious. What truly has Jesus done for you, Mrs. Jenner? Millions and Millions? Fame? Hard Work? Blessed are the poor in spriit, for they shall see God…something like that….has Christ blessed your daughters porn tape, your disgustingly foul mouthed children who verbally abuse you on national TV and laugh about it? I am just confused. When all the endorsements, the Bentleys, the Botox and Mansions burn, and you stand before the Lord, how are you going to explain that you as a Christian had the world’s ear for even a moment in time, and did not once talk about the Gospel Message? We will know them by their fruits. You and your family love money and attention. When you use the media avenue to talk about something with subtance, something real that Jesus Christ has done for your family, then I will believe it. Very sad.
