In our special WithJosh one year anniversary edition, recording artist/entertainment personality Kimberley Locke (American Idol/Celebrity Fit Club) takes charge as our first ever guest blogger. Kimberley asked the fans (including the Joshitas, an Argentinian based WithJosh Fan Club) to send in their questions about Josh and the past 31 interviews that we have featured on this site. We were overwhelmed by how many of you took the time to send in your support through email, Facebook, and Twitter.
In part one of the interview, Kimberley and Josh talk about why WithJosh was created and the meaning behind the tagline “Everyone Has a Story.” Josh answers questions regarding his favorite interviews and discusses which interview was life changing. Kimberley and Josh also debate who they think is today’s icon of pop culture. Additionally, Josh answers your fan questions about his interview with producer/recording artist, Jeff Pescetto, and his famous 80′s hit, “DuckTales.”
Part two takes a more serious turn as Josh and Kimberley share about the trials and blessings of working in the entertainment industry. Their discussion is an honest and candid one that is pertinent for anyone who’s interested in working in Hollywood; Josh shares behind-the-scenes secrets and the lessons he’s learned in the creation of WithJosh, and Kimberley talks about her struggles as well, admitting that she was trying to become a recording artist ten years before American Idol. Lastly, Kimberley asks your questions about the uncomfortable and very public division that was caused between Josh and his family after he interviewed the creators of the NOH8 Campaign.

Wow, this interview was fantastic. I became choked up when you spoke about your NOH8 interview and the sadness you experienced with your family. Sadly, we the viewers, probably know you better than your parents. You are making a difference in lives and we, the viewers, stand by you and are proud of you. Thank you Josh for telling everyone’s story and not being partial or ignorant.

Awesome interview!! One tiny correction…your “family” was not upset about the interview, just your mom. I would hate to think that your fans think we all disowned you over that wonderful interview! (ps~I am Josh’s PROUD Aunt) It was great to have someone who knows you so well conduct the interview, as it had a smooth and comfortable flow to it.

This may be my favorite withjosh interview. Great to see a different side of you and to see your obvious close relationship with Ms. Locke. Entertaining and informative. You’re not alone with the catchy Ducktales theme. Who doesn’t like that wee bit of American pop culture?

One time ago you came with your first interview of WithJosh.com,you with your Project began to transite a new way and it was so different for who met in other facet like songwriter 2 years ago.
I ever felt the music like the real traslate of my feelings, and from that i had memory, i ever inquired into it cause i felt it like my way to connect with the world. I learnt to thrill me, to live around it. I suppose that it`s my real internal world, the preffer nook of my real human side; so what when you appeared in my life, you connected so fast with my emotional side cause you put in words (with your lyrics) my felings and the feelings of others persons, and it turns magic all. But in the same moment, you created one specially atmosphere around you. I ever had this curiosity when i met child: what inspire to one songwriter?; but when i met you this curiosity was evaporated cause for first time the people behind the lyric generate more feelings into me. And it`s possible cause you`ve into you one powerful force that put you in first , and it`s one mixture of passion, humility, generosity, intelligence, creativity and human heart. And if exist one perfect song playing, i´m sure that it lives into you, cause only you can to express (even when you say nothing, too) so beautiful feelings, cause you`ve the best human qualities.
I want to take one moment to say somethings bout Josh. First, i want to detach one detail that say so much about this incredible man. When he wrote about this interview, he said:”It`s 1 interview with Kim like host, in WithJosh`s anniversary.” It shows how humble he`s. I want (sorry, cause i am not the correct person for it) express that it`s one intervew to Josh where he talks about himself, about the fantastic artist, and best person that he`s, and his fans love him for who he`s. I must confess that was so difficult to make ask for him, not cause he sn`t interesant to know more (if i would to ask him all, i´ll be asking all details, and i´ll trying to capture every second of his existance), the assunt was that i felt that i meet him, not for every detail, i meet him for the way that he`s, cause he gives us his time, his jontes, his comments; fragments of his life, he`s generous, he gives us part of himself, and it shows him like one fantastic and perfect person, with one noble heart, with time for the others, Josh is so natural and sincere with all, and it makes him uniq front the eyes of the soul. Yeah, i dont pass time in his same side, but his generosity makes that i feel him so near, that i see in him one pure and amazing person.
If one person would say me:” How define you to Josh Skinner?”, sure that i´ll say: “Josh is the True”. Why this definition?, well; in past post on withJosh i tried to express what is the True; but i didn`t define what is the True in my life. Last week i found front me one complicated reallity: one little child that i meet suffer Cancer; and dont exist nothing that i can to make to change it. But it sn`t the most hard, the hard for me is see that this child is fighting to live, try every day against the impossible. I said me in this days: why?, why God gives him a short live and to me one more large life? What can i do? And i remembered one prhase that Josh said on Twitter about that sometimes we must to play the game of the life of the others; and it gives me the answer: sometimes you cant to change the luck, but you can to give one part of you, one look, one word, one time, and it has a significance to the other, it`s the true that is guide of the life of everyone; in this way i found the true in Josh; cause when i had doubts in the absolute things, he was there with his time for me, with his patient, and for it i´m so lucky to meet him. I haven`t words to express how wonderful is Josh, but he`s wonderful; and i desire the best things for him cause he deserves the best, really. Meet to Josh change my life, enrich every moment and he shows me that exist beautiful persons in the world.
Thanx Josh for let me spy into your life, thanx for your patient to this heavy and spooky fan who remember you that your surname is the same of one character of X-Files, who disturbied all moments with her tweets and direct messages; who seem one paranoic fan of Diana DeGarmo. Thanx for your time, thanx for answer ever. I´m soooooooooooooo grateful with you; thanx for the fantastic moments on withjosh like the interview to Mr. Belding (sincerely, when i said that this interview remember me the times of school and that in this times one girl-in many cases- go to school for one boy i tried to say that i´ll wake up every morning for you) or the interview to Jeff Pescetto (hu-oh-uh!).When i danced with the theme of Ducktales many, many years ago, i never thought meet to one person like you; and if i could choice, i´ll desire return to my childhood and meet you in this moment to my life to share more moments of the life with the most emotional person that i never met: You, Josh!
I know that you`ve the luck of meet to great persons around you, persons that make you happy; and it`s the most important. If i could have the power to paint one smile in your perfect face, i´ll be making the imposible for it, but cause i´m only a ordinary person, i trust in this peoples around you to make you happy in the way that you deserve. Sometimes, i must confess (OMG! it would sounds like obssesive, like DeGarmo`fans!!!!) that i turn me a bit jealous when i think that this specially persons can to enjoy of your presence( specially cause i never met one unbelieve man like you, never), but is more important to me to know that you`re happy.Cause nobody more than you deserve the happiness, Really. Hey! i cant help myself with it!!!! i`m soooooo happy; first my brain was a bit break-down cause this interview is soooooooooo much for your fans; i wait for it many, many time and watch it now is the most beautiful, incredible, happy and emotional feeling.
Thanx cause you give us one new surprise ever, you`re so generous and you`re so open to talk about your life, and it`s fantastic to know about you, although, i must confesse, i felt some fear to ask you something that you could answer,but perhaps it could be hard for you, like the assunt of NOH8. Respect it, i want to say(again) that i´m so happy to see one incredible person like you, who defends his convictions; it`s so important, specially cause in our society the convictions are on sale for nothing. You`re one example, you`re a real great people, and i´m sure that all peoples know, in the deep of their hearts that it`s true.
I must to say that you, Josh, are so just to ear all voices, no matter if it`s like your opinion or not, i supposse that it`s the scence of WithJosh.
